I thought no one else got what it was trying to say Johnny thank god lol But you only have HALF of it. It's a metaphor for everything not just girls for guys. It is saying that as soon as anyone falls in love with something they get bored with it and want to change it. Whether it be a person or a car people always will want to change what they fall in love with it is purely human nature. The author uses a Seagull and a Albatross to show how every person is but if he but a person and another person in it, it would be to strange, yet if he put animals in it people wont look mainly look at the objects saying the message but they will focus in on the message alone.
